Selecting and pairing for 2019

Today in Brummen with Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp selected breeders and associated.
I had 15 hens and 13 cocks and taken as Evert-Jan Eijerkamp as heavy-standards applied to the selection.
eventually 6 and cocks 7 hens on who could stand up to criticism.
So I got a cock deficit for a very nice hen of the species Stefaan Lambrechts.
Evert-Jan has solved the problem by a gorgeous young cock out “Spotted Stefaan” to pick up their pen and do to me as a Christmas gift. A super gift!

On paper, the culture of 2019 so regularly.
Sometime early next year, the pigeons are coupled and we start another season.
From here we wish all our friends a Merry Christmas and a prosperous, healthy and v.w.b. the pigeon a super 2019!

Looking back at season 2017

Last year for us was a very eventful year and health issues is the sport last season stood us on the back burner. Hence, you only get an overview.
Because there was little time to take care of the pigeons (they were just any day soon some food and water) went the culture in the soup. The pigeons were the hens namely fat and therefore not explained or very irregular.
We therefore early February all reconnected.
Our favorite game we have one day long distance in 2017 also beaten, because too little time.
Despite the subsequent growth and lesser care due to lack of time, We hindsight still nice participated.
So we achieved in our society P.V. Holthuizen of 18 Flights which we participated still 8 once the first prize.

We played this season 8 hens and 2 cocks.
From
best performance came in the name of our oldest racing pigeon the cock NL11-1326962 "Dumoulin" named after that other powerhouse that weekend.
"Dumoulin" was bred by us from NL07-1667216 the type Rens van der Silk and NL08-1102551 "daughter Jackpot" of Heremans-Ceusters and received from Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp.
It was a great result on the heavy short distance race from Quievrain.

It was in Circuit 6 Region of North East of afd.8 GOU:

1e, 35e, 82e enz. Quievrain 257 km. against 1.445 doves and 6 of the 10 prizes and also

1e, 151e,275e enz. Quievrain 257 km. against 4.072 pigeons Region North East and 5 of the 10 awards

The victor of the cock NL11-1326962 "Dumoulin" was the fastest pigeon of the release of the Northern Region on 9.039 pigeons.

Region North East knew "Dumoulin" to achieve ahead of the upcoming second dove over 64 mpm. while his lead in the Northern Region over 12 mpm. was.

Our first pigeon “285” (1e-drawn) was returning home from the second natoervlucht attacked by a bird of prey, probably sparrowhawk. The result was that this hen minutes continued to fly and more and more pigeons came home, who do not dare to attack and even sat down after a long time in the garage (something that normally never happens).
From “285” went inside, but the rest remained in the garage. Three pigeons arrived in time anyway and a few minutes later, the rest came down.

It is a pity, because it could be a good result, but never mind, because it happens to everyone sometimes that adversity.
Ultimately, we still 8 prices Circuit 9 pigeons.

First day long distance race.

This weekend there were two flights scheduled: the sprint race Mouscron-Menen and the first one day long distance race of the season Gien.
On Thursday we korfden five proven pigeons on the long distance race, and Friday did the rest ( six pieces) with the sprint race.

The pigeons in Mouscron Menin were to 10.10 hours and unloaded with two early pigeons in the Circle and Region, and five of the 6 the prices seemed to be a nice day.

The birds of the day long distance race had some basis in reality honor them 13.00 hours were unloaded.
Although basketing talked was that the pigeons instead of Gien Sens would go, because there
would be the better weather forecasts, she went anyway to Gien initially. As soon as Saturday morning came the news that they were going to Sens. Later drove further north to Melun.
The pigeons were released too late in my opinion, because many pigeons were unable to reach their loft lossingsdag. When missing us to 21.30 hours three of the five birds!
It seems to me far from ideal as there are so many with the pigeons is driven on the lossingsdag, but this flight has its winners and we congratulate them on their achievements in this difficult flight.

Fortunately, the three were “overnachten” Sunday early in the valve!

Flight Results

The first flight from Breda pigeons were driven home with a strong tailwind and far beyond in some cases they went their loft……

The second flight from St. Job in 't Goor had to deal with the pigeons with a strong head wind and low temperatures.

Here are our results. (soon they come under flight results)
